FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Texel sheepskin?

This rug is made from genuine Dutch Texel sheepskin, selected for its thick, naturally dense wool and plush texture.

Is the Texel rug dyed or bleached?

No. The hides are undyed and unbleached, preserving their natural coloring and character.

Will my rug look exactly like the photograph?

Each natural hide is different. Expect individual variations in shape, texture, and cream, beige, or multi-tone coloring.

Can I use it on furniture as well as the floor?

Yes. It can be styled over a chair, bench, or sofa, or used as a natural accent on the floor.

What gives the wool its natural resistance to dirt and odors?

The wool contains naturally occurring lanolin, which contributes to its resistance to dirt and odors. Regular care is still important.

How should I clean the Texel rug?

Shake or gently vacuum it regularly and spot clean only. Do not wash the rug.

Can I place it in direct sunlight?

Avoid prolonged direct sunlight, as directed in the product’s care instructions.

Will the rugs in a two-pack be identical?

2 PACK contains two rugs in the selected size option, but natural variations mean their coloring, shape, and texture may differ. 1 PACK contains one rug.
